Dr. Tricia Yeoh is the Chief Executive Officer of IDEAS (Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs), having formerly served as its Chief Operating Officer. She is currently Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at Monash University Malaysia and Campus Visitor at the Australian National University. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the School of Politics, History and International Relations at the University of Nottingham Malaysia and was formerly Visiting Research Fellow at the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute at the National University of Singapore (NUS). She is author of the book 'States of Reform: Governing Selangor and Penang'. She speaks and writes regularly on Malaysian public policy issues, having been featured in The Economist, and on CNN, Al-Jazeera, Bloomberg, CNBC, amongst other platforms. Her main research interests are in the areas of federalism, federal-state relations, opposition politics in hybrid regimes and party institutionalisation.
